Trust God to clean your eyballs...

Trust God. Clean my home. Try to rest my eyes.

It's been a while since I've posted. Not that many people comment anyway. Thea gets lots of people on hers. Those little minxy English folk. 'Cept for Denise of course.

Tomorrow is my neurology appointment. Hey, I should probably e-mail my extended family so they keep up to date on what's going on, huh? Anyone who reads my blog already knows what's going on. So I guess there's no need to rehash.

I had ramen noodles for lunch today. Man was it a throw back! I haven't had those in a LONG time. They were pretty good...but I am thirstin' up a storm now because of all the salt! Good grief!

Sun is shining. Half the sky is dark. Heard there's to be tornadic weather tomorrow. I don't ever remember being so on edge about bad weather as I am here in Jackson. Perhaps because tornadoes are common here? As in right across the street tear-up-a-campus tornadoes? Who knows. God is in control, and His mightiness can be seen in storms! They really are an adventure! And hey, what better place to be than deep inside a hospital should one come near?

Ok, can you tell I'm fishing for things to blog about? Guess I'm not in much of a talkative mood today. Too focused on not caring about tomorrow, but at the same time wanting it to be here and over with. Hey, at least I get a tasty dinner at Olive Garden tomorrow night. Yeah for gift cards!

Oh, I guess I could say that I got a TGIFri. gift card and two flowering plants for secretary's day yesterday. I named the violet Jacinta (Spanish for purple) and the red flowering plant is Kalama (Hawaiian for flaming torch) as of right now, but that might change.

Have a good day!

Silly Blog

So I was going to do a new question on my profile, but apparently they thought my answer was too long...so here it is in my post. (Don't forget to read the previous one...I get so paranoid people won't scroll down to see all new posts!)

Question: The children are waiting! Tell them a story about a bald frog who wears a wig.

Answer:

Once upon a blog, on a log was a frog. No hair had he; his name was Mr. Shmee. His hair was all gone; he lost it on a lawn. Gathering each black seed, Mr. Shmee did the deed. He made himself a wig, and sewed it with a zig. Prancing around the pond, he looked just like Frog Bond. All the tad poles were struck with love, and put handsome Mr. Shmee on the lily pad above.

Santize snotty sweat while sewing!

I really like finding interesting titles for my blogs. Try it...you find alliterated words that sum up what your blog will be about.

I've just done my chore for the day, cleaning the bathrooms. I was going to push through and finish ALL my house stuff before I sat at the computer, but I needed a break. I gotta finish up some laundry, and in the mean time I plan to exercise and work on the second quilt for Carla's babies.

Props to not having to cook dinner. Cell group tonight is at the Old Towne Spaghetti Store to celebrate April birthdays. I CAN NOT believe April is almost over! Time is flying ever so quickly. Paul and Tracie will be husband and wife in only a month, well, and a week.

No props to a face that has gone out of control. I had forgotton how troublesome my face can really be as far as oil, roughness, and breakouts. Too bad you can't have the good parts of birth control while you're OFF it. Hopefully I'll find a new cleansing routine very soon to return my face to it's once smooth complexion.

Momma sent flowers today...so purty! And encouraging too. Is life always full of stress...like non-stop? :-P All I know is that I wait for the day when I am just normal getting regular allergy shots and going about life in a pleasant less "dramatic" way. ;-)

Ok, I think the dryer stopped. Time to move on!

My Head Done Sneezed Off

Goodness...sure I'm having allergy issues...but I'm so tired of sneezing for today!

Good news from the allergist. Nothing serious is wrong, but I do have chronic sinusitis (inflamation of the sinuses), especially in my ethmoid cavities which run right between your eyes behind the bridge of your nose. I know the first of three treatments is antibiotics, but then the phone went dead and I haven't been able to get ahold of Dr. D since then. Hopefully I'll get a chance to talk to him tomorrow...in the few moments I will have to even breath.

Tomorrow is going to be a BUSY day. I spent from about 3:00 to 8:00 today cooking with a break for dinner at Paul and Tracie's. I made pasta fagoli soup, homemade breadsticks, cinamon/sugar tortilla chips (to go with the fruit salsa I'm making in the morning), and Hawaiian smokies (to feed 100 people twice!) The fagoli and bread is for dinner and also to take to a woman in need. The chips and salsa are for my quilting luncheon tomorrow. And the smokies are for the library open house tomorrow. I'd still like to know if I got chosen for the most difficult dish because the woman who dished them out knew I cooked. I had to wrap half a piece of bacon around 200+ smokies. Thankfully, my wonderful husband helped me the whole time and was so cheerful about it. He even went grocery shopping with me! It was so pleasant to have his help and support through all the cooking.

So tomorrow...wake up, get showered/dressed, put smokies in oven to bake, make fruit salsa, take smokies to school, go to quilting at 9:00, luncheon at 11:00, work at 12:45 to 4:30, dinner right away, stamping party with Tracie at 5:15 till who knows when. I dread Monday's because they are so so busy. The one day of the week that usually causes a melt down on Tuesday.

Gonna go put my aching back in bed...but I have pondered a bit what it must have been like for women in the olden days. No electrical conveniences. I thought I cooked all day? Not a chance compared to Marilla Cuthbert!

Soul Perplexing Yesterday

Who knew God would use something as simple as Anne's House of Dreams to open up my mind to see what has happened to me the past 4 or 5 years? I don't feel like divulging everything quite yet. I am still getting used to the thoughts and the change.

These three things I do know. I am Anne, and she will return to my surface by God's strength and grace. I need to grow my hair back out. And Thea means so much more to me than I had ever thought before.

Perhaps in a few days I will feel comfortable with telling the rest of the story.

But...it's FRIDAY finally! Seemed like the week would never end!

Only Wednesday?

I feel like it should be later in the week...perhaps because I have been so busy already?

The MRI yesterday went well. They even had a headset so I could listen to music! I ALMOST was asleep when she pulled me back out. She said the pictures turned out well, but we'll have to see if the "doctors" want me to do another one with contrast injected into me. Probably not, though. I'm supposed to hear from the allergist's office by the end of this week to set up a follow-up appointment to find out the results and such. As for today? Yeah...worse than usual as far as congestion. I hope to get all my stuff around the house done before a headache comes!

And here I sit bloggin...

Note to cooks...if you make those no-bake oatmeal/chocolate cookies and they won't set up, just freeze them. Janet's recipe just won't work right, so I experimented and froze them overnight. They are quite tasty as a chilled cookie! Only problem is that they'll get gooy again if you let them sit out. I really need to get Matt's mom's recipe for those...well actually it's his great grandmother's recipe. But at least I know her's works as far as the setting up of the cookies!

Mmmm...soo hard to not take a "peek" in the freezer! Tap into the will. The solution to eating wrong is eating right, not dieting! Yeah for Bill Philips!

K. I have nothing else to say of worth. So I should quit poking around and get my housework done. Then I can relax and read. Or fall asleep. But then do I love sleep too much? Or do I really need it?

::signs off pondering::

Curly Girly! Posted by Hello

zzzZZZ...oh, um...morning?

Goood....morning. Ugh.

Gotta get to sleep at the normal 10:00 bed time. Even staying up 30 minutes later takes it toll on me. Sugar was high on the weekend list too, so I'm probably having a major sugar withdrawal. I really hope our BFL book gets here soon. I'm losing motivation already! Gotta drink more water! (but NOT as much as Jaclyn...she's gonna drift away someday!)

Don't have long because I get to go to quilting, but I saw the allergist on Friday. He was AWESOME. A wonderful Christian doctor who just sat and listened, pondered, and was wise in his speech. I am having a head MRI done tomorrow at 2:00. Hopefully it will result in SOMETHING, whether it be a conclusive sinus infection or not. Dr. D. has several plans depending on the results. I'm just ready to not think about allergies every time I step outside or even see a commercial on TV not even related to allergies but I know if I was in it, I'd have problems. Ridiculous, I know.

Matt is still working on his paper work. Good grief...it's INVOLVED. But for good reason, I'm sure. Those and tax papers will go out this week! (Tax papers TODAY!)

Ok, gotta go have fun with the ladies!

Dimmed Vision and Feet Wiggin'

SO...I sit down to blog away and the dryer stops. Go figure! Sheets can wait.

Next Awesome Spiritual Thought: This is a circular thought about the oppression of peoples due to false religions, aka all the many laws and rituals people have to keep in order to gain what is good. The oppression comes from all the laws the heads of each particular religion come up with and impose on the people. Since the object of worship (the idol/god) isn't real, then there is no one to free the people from the laws. But the one TRUE faith has an object of worship that is LIVING. One who was able to set us free from the law. And in turn, those of the Christian faith suffer no oppression of laws and rituals that lead to a hopeless pursuit of a good afterlife. We are FREE indeed!

I did end up giving myself a pedicure and manicure. My toes aren't a pretty pink like Autumn's, but rather a muave. I wish I had a soft coral like the new flower pot I got. And for some ODD reason, my feet itch like crazy right now. And they're swelling. Come to think of it, my fingers are swelling too. I think it's time for some water, or something!

CAN NOT WAIT until I get to see the new allergist on Friday. I hope he gets things going with the shots and can tell me if I should go see another eye doctor. I'm getting really tired of not seeing like I'm used to. It'll be VERY interesting if the second opinion shows that I do in fact have something wrong that needs to be taken care of. That would add more to my list of "Why I don't like Dr. Lents."

Anyway, I'm gonna go fold sheets, drink a big glass of water (go BFL!), and be with my hunny who is devoted to filling out the mounds of security papers for this new job!

"God is good"...

...is an UNDERSTATEMENT!

To continue with the weekend of the Seder meal: A thought from Palm Sunday's message...The definition of faith is "believing without needing to see proof." But why is this so key to the Christian faith? Waaay back when the 10 commandments were given, think of the first two that God said. "Thou shalt have no other gods before Me." "Thou shalt make no graven images." Right there God set up our "faith without seeing" Christianity. He knows how easy it is for fallen humans to lose sight of the real TRUTH if we can see something to worship. If we can see it, then we tend to hang our faith on what we see instead of what we should really be worshipping. And what we really worship, we can not see...for now. ;-) He is good!

On another note, this week has been VERY trying for Matt and I as we have been through a HUGE decision making process. Did the process end? Yes, but not because of anything we did. It is because of what God has done for us. We are not yet sure of the timing of things, but Matt was offered an EXTRAORDINARY job opportunity! There are those we will be sad to leave here in Jackson, but we are so very excited about this change! God is GOOD!

Matt and I feel so unworthy of all the blessings God keeps piling on us. We are learning all over again how sweet His grace and mercy is...and we fall to our knees in thanksgiving!

And with that, I'm going to go make my toes like Autumn's! Spring-like!
